Overview

Strengthening bundle for the Mazda MX-5 / Miata NC (2005–2015) and RX-8 MT6 6-speed manual gearbox, covering its three most common failure points at a bundle price: the bearing plate, the change control bushes and the reverse gear bush.

The EN24 steel billet bearing plate is roughly four times stronger than the factory cast aluminium part, keeping the shafts aligned and reducing gear wear under hard use. The brass bushes replace the original plastic parts for more precise, reliable shifts. All three are fitted during a single gearbox strip-down – the most cost-effective way to future-proof your MT6 before it fails.

Installation requires partial gearbox disassembly. Follow Mazda's MT6 overhaul procedure to ensure correct bearing preload and assembly – professional installation is recommended.

Always use a high-quality GL-4 transmission fluid in this gearbox – do not use GL-5.
