Genuine Mazda fuel pump / fuel tank top hat retaining plate (Plate, S), part number GN3A-42-161A. This black-coated pressed steel ring clamps the fuel pump assembly or top hat and its gasket down onto the fuel tank.
Original plates can corrode or distort over time, making a good seal harder to achieve. Pair it with a new C235-42-166 gasket when fitting our MX-5 NC fuel tank top hat return system for a fresh, leak-free install.
